Hey we may not be a superior band dis year but we did our thing. I mean with all the things going on before practice, during practice, and before we step foot to preform our halftime shows.
I know we still could have pulled off a superior but all things happen for a reason and i guess the reason is that we need to step our game up and change the attitudes that we had this year real quick. And pull off a superior for next year that we know we our capable of doing. But Bud and Suenita yall know i love yall a lot and yall truly did have yall job cut out for dis year with the new freshman who came in and some of our fellow upper classman and i'm not talking to everybody on a few but yall kno we a team if one member fall short we all fall short cause we family we spend more time with each other than anybody else at Booker T Washington so please take the words that your section leaders and adults over you seriously because they not trying to be rude they just trying to help you out because they know you got something in you they just trying to give you a little push so it can better you and our band.
but letting me stop preaching and cut dis short I LOVE YALL DEARLY AND LETS Get DONE WHAT WE GOTTA DO CAUSE WE Washington AND WE DA BEST WE ALWAYS GOTTA DO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY CAUSE WE DA BEST AND DA BEST ALWAYS STAND OUT. SO I GONE BUT I'm LIVING YALL WITH NUTTING BUT LOVE AND RESPECT

i know the section leaders are trying to help us but some, well, they need to keep the personal insults out and try to complement sometimes, show us how to improve instead of telling us how bad we are. demonstrate, show us, stop putting us down and help us improve! Reply to this

well i understand were you are coming from me being a section leader and all I have watched the other leaders lots of times go off for stupid reason and all they need to do is help but when your making the some mistakes over and over again and they explained it too you step by step then there is a problem. but all you have to do is your best and you know it's your best and forget the neagative attitudes they have towards you just stil give them respect even if they aren't respecting you because they will see they attitudes isn't getting to you and loosing up.. but I LOVE MY SECTION YALL I hope this helps you in some way... You know what since you already know who I am, I just gonna be strait up. Section leaders,ex-section leaders whatever, you really need to quit acting like babies and being rude to people. Yeah we do mess up over and over and we can fix it, but that doesn't mean you just go off on somebody like you done lost lost your mind!! So many of us have put up with ya'll and you really need to quit, because many of us can't take the mess no more.
We have held our tongues and some have already let you have it, so step it up please!! But this is really a problem and it needs fixing rite away; it's having a negative effect on many of us. So mainly to the upperclassmen: If you all want a big band next year (which is mostly composed of Freshmen) quit with the rudeness. I appreciate the time. Reply to this

Well i understand were you are coming from but for the most part if you come up and ask a flute about me i treat them with respect cause everybody deserves it. but we dont need to go around pointing no fingers at section leaders, under classman, upper classman and any body else because everybody just need to step it up a little bit.
but yall gotta understand too that if things not going rite who Mr.Young gone point out SECTION LEADERS and he gone be acting like we not on our job with its just some of the attitudes out there where they are going to do what ever regardless because they don't like the person telling them what to do. as im reading the first lady's comments it seems like yall ahve a lot of problems i dnt think im coming here any more she sounds very disrespectful about saying everybody grow up and wanna put that little picture with the tongue sticking out
WBS-band kids probably spend more time together than any other organization in any school. Everyone should be allowed to express how they feel. One person's expression of their thoughts do no reflect on the entire band.
We plan to invite Woodham parents and band kids over during one of our band booster meetings very soon. And we hope to have some of our band associates visit Woodham H.S. Please click on the Christmas Concert link under http://theplayingcats.com/photos.shtml to read about what's in store for you if you choose to join the Marching Wildcats... Reply to this
Woodham student-although we have to moderate this blog as one time it got out of control, we strive to allow everyone to express their opinions. We may not agree with what is said and how it is said, but for the most part we don't censor the author of the statement.

yeah i do agree some of the leaders to do a lot of stuff that is not needed like send the section on too many laps and make them do so many push ups and it's really not need because most of the time the rookies will respect you more if you help them and not always try to be quick to catch attitudes with them.. but i love my bookies in the flute section...but i think we do need some better leaders in the band though because they really was not working together...i still love yall though...some of yall just took being section leader to the extreme...i be like dang they running laps again what did they do this time??? when it really could have been handled a better way...but let me got study I LOVE ALL YALL STILL..... I do agree also I have noticed when Section leaders of Drum Majors send people on laps and keep sending them on laps the Rookie is gonna end up quiting the band because of a person who is not an adult. Reply to this
